Colorfire has launched the B760M Meow motherboard featuring PCIe 5.0 and following the cat theme expected from this series.
Ready for Intel’s 12th and 13th Gen Core processors, the Meow carries 12+1+1 55A Dr MOS power phases fed via an 8-pin plus a 4-pin connector alongside four DDR5 slots supporting up to 7,200MT/s memory in dual-channel configuration. For expansion, we find a single full-size PCIe 5.0 slot, one PCIe 3.0 x4, plus four SATA and three PCIe 4.0 M.2 for storage.
Design-wise, the B760M Meow takes an Micro-ATX form factor measuring 245mm x 245mm, with the front filled with orange accents on a white background. From a cat face on the heatsink to the all-important cats rules displayed on top of the chipset cooler, this board really embraces the Garfield style. The little paw on the CMOS battery is an example of attention to detail.
Flipping it over shows more orange branding alongside a handheld drawing with cat pad as joysticks – a hint at an upcoming Colorfire console perhaps? While nice, these are irrelevant, since the chassis will usually hide the back.
Either way, this board seems like a perfect companion to Colorfire’s GeForce RTX 4060 Meow edition. Though not related, Sapphire’s Radeon RX 7600 Party Animals graphics card is also a good match.
On the I/O side, we are presented by four USB 2.0, two USB 3.2 Gen 1, one USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C, one HDMI 2.0, one DisplayPort 1.2, three 3.5mm audio jacks, 2.5Gb/s Ethernet, Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2. There’s also the handy BIOS update button. A bit lacking on USB, unfortunately, but should be enough when plugging the front chassis ports. The board is also bundled with a bunch of stickers, two SATA cables, and a front panel adapter for easy cable plug-in.
